  15. the README in xdvik-1.2 suggests, that in order to only install xdvi
  16. and NOT also kpathsea, one should first 'cd xdvik' and 'make install'
  17. there. But then make does not get the information from the top level
  18. makefile where to install xdvi (and uses /usr/local/bin which is not
  19. what I want).

  21. I guess that's not intentional. A simple workaround is to remove
  22. $(kpathsea_dir) from all_dirs in the top level makefile. What about a
  23. separate target for installing libkpathsea?
